Past art exhibitions

Below is a preview of the exhibitions of charcoal drawings and oil paintings from 2002 to 2005. Each of these links are separate websites. The majority of my work is based in Expressionism. While each holds its own key, the goal of all my work is to allow the expression to come through.

Rhythms of Nature at Osoyoos Art Gallery March 2007

rhythms of nature - As we work in the media we love, we feel connected to the rhythms of nature. Julia hears the charcoal sing as she explores the concept of human form in a musical, rhythmic style. From shards of broken glass Tracie's forms take on a life of their own as they regenerate organically into something new. Jill works with clay and fire to express feelings of movement and stillness more literally with the female form.

existence in the dream - it is just paint on a surface and we are only painters - original artworks - oil paintings and charcoal drawings, from the exhibition.

Fluttering of Mozart's Strings Canadian Artist Julia Trops March 2004 fluttering of mozart’s strings - the music of mozart in oil painting. These fine art works have a root in action painting, with the goal to be reactive to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Life Death Becoming Art Exhibition Canadian Artist Julia Trops June 2003life, death, becoming - symbology from the human race rediscovered. These original artworks are a mixture of painting and drawing, of mixed media, including watercolour, ink, conte, charcoal and gouache.
